The ideal candidate is someone enthusiastic about film and television, music, and popular culture. He/she will edit and create graphics for a wide range of short and medium format content including: behind-the-scenes features, interviews, special event packages, documentaries, film and music festivals, and marketing sizzles.

+ Expertly apply finishing and packaging skills to each edit, including: color correction, sound design, sound mixing/eq, graphics and multi-format delivery. + Help bring creative video concepts and stories to life in a way that’s relevant to the brand’s growing audience.

The Melrose Group (TMG) is looking for a Videographer located in the NYC area to film company offices on a freelance basis. You’ll be interviewing clients, putting them at ease, and helping them convey their awesome company culture through candid office photos and b-roll. As a freelancer, you’ll need to upload footage to our servers and send out a recap within 48 hours of the shoot. Your work will be showcased on top-tier company profiles across all media platforms.

ABOUT THE ROLE: This role is to support the video and design team by creating custom motion graphics when required. It runs the range from email campaigns through to elements for national tv commercial spots. Being able to adapt your work to different formats is critical.
+ Deliver designs across multiple platforms through 2D and 3D animation
+ Collaborate with designers and editors in the creative team to maintain consistency
+ Effectively communicate concepts and ideas that match the design team
+ Work with stakeholders to achieve outcomes that support particular projects.
+ Develop and deliver motion designs that amplify the company brand.
+ Utilize extensive knowledge of design thinking and leverage knowledge of design and cultural trends Manage multiple projects with critical deadlines.
+ Assess and improve processes and/or methodologies.
+ Create original motion graphics for, but not limited to: Screen replacement, Digital Billboards, End cards, UI Updates, Text animations.
In this role, you will work with the team that builds features for iOS and watchOS applications. You will also work with our product, design, and backend teams to identify and inform the platform elements required to support client-side features.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
+ Ability to write code that is readable, maintainable, documented, and thoroughly tested.
+ Familiarity with UIKit (SwiftUI and Combine are a plus) and Auto Layout.
+ Understanding of the concurrency APIs available on Apple’s platforms.
+ Significant experience developing integrations with RESTful APIs.
+ Experience writing appropriate test coverage with XCTest and XCUITest.
+ Understanding of modern architecture patterns like Model-View-View Model (MVVM).
+ Experience with Git.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU:
+ Have experience with reactive programming (Combine, Rx, ReactiveSwift, or the like).
+ Have experience with continuous build systems.
